Established on January 2, 1979, by owners Brian and Julie Hayes, Mid Nebraska Agency is committed to providing quality insurance products for individuals and businesses. Son, Colby, joined the business at 116 East 9th Street, on January 2, 2014. Daughter-in-law Stacy is new to the office, joining the staff in October.

Mid Nebraska Agency provides all types of insurance and specializes in farm, home, auto and commercial insurance. Business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Hayes’ are very active in the Wood River community as witnessed by Brian keeping busy as a member of the Wood River Fire and Rescue Department for the past 32 years, and is a member of First United Church. He is also a member of the Wood River Area Economic Development Corporation, is a board member of Wood River Vision 20/20, is a member of the Wood River 20/20 Housing Committee, is a member of the Wood River Vision 20/20 Business and Industry Committee, is a founding member of the Wood River Vision 20/20 Business Association (Shop Wood River), is a member of the Wood River 20/20 Business Association Marketing Committee and is a member of numerous fundraising committees for the Wood River Volunteer Fire Department and other local projects.
Brian has served in the past as President of the Wood River Business Association, and as a member of the Wood River Foundation Board, and was a Cub Scout leader and master.

Colby is a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Central Platte Duck Unlimited. Colby’s family includes his wife, Taylor, and their son, Brexton.

Stacy Hayes is a graduate of Wood River High School. Her and husband Adam have four children, Gunner, Kaden, Paisley and Brason. They also own and operate Hayes Home Improvement, Inc.

Julie Hayes is involved in the community as a member of the Wood River Volunteer Fire Department for twelve years, is a member of the Wood River Vision 20/20 Business Marketing Committee and is also a member of many fundraising committees for the Wood River Volunteer Fire Department and other local projects. Julie has also been a Girl Scout leader.

Brian and Julie have five grown children that grew up and attended school in Wood River and now have families of their own and have blessed the Hayes’ with sixteen grandchildren.
