Hospitals
Though Wood River does not have its’ own hospital, there are three facilities within minutes that provide emergency care. Being the nearest, Grand Island, CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center, provides our primary emergency service’s needs. To the west, Kearney’s CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital offers an excellent trauma center with Life Flight services. And, a short distance south, Hastings Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital provides another quality option.
