The City of Wood River and Wood River Vision 2020 are preparing to conduct a Community Needs Assessment Survey in January 2021.  You may recall the 2013 survey that identified residents’ priorities: pool, child care, housing and establishment of an ag program at the high school to name a few.  Kudos to everyone who had a hand in accomplishing so much of that over the past 8 years!

South Central Economic Development District will be coordinating the survey design and data analysis like last time.  Now it is essential that we gather as community leaders to identify what information we want to glean from the upcoming survey.  All Wood River area community organizations, school administrators/board, church and business leaders, etc. are strongly encouraged to participate in the upcoming survey question development meeting:

Wednesday, Nov 3rd
6:00 p.m.

Wood River Community Center

The public is welcome to attend.  Vision and the City especially want to ensure YOUR group and perspective are reflected in the survey questions.  The survey results will help shape the future of our great community for the coming 5-10 years and ensure that Wood River thrives long-term.  This one meeting is your opportunity to get questions on the survey that will help your organization build for the future too.

PLEASE pass this invitation along to your board/leadership asap so we can have strong representation from all sections of the community!  I have attempted to include someone from each local board/organization but certainly will have inadvertently overlooked someone so Vision needs you to tap people on the shoulder to spread the word and encourage attendance.  SCEDD indicates that there will be additional information from them yet this week so watch for another email.  If no one from your group can attend but wants to submit information, please email it to me in advance.

Questions?  Contact Mayor Cramer, Tyler Doane, Sara Arnett, Elizabeth Troyer-Miller, Brian Hayes or Curtis Rohrich

Thanks everyone for making Wood River awesome!
